Reflections

This week I learned that the rule of simplicity is singling out an object in a photograph. I struggled with focusing the object right, and determining the right amount of ISO and aperture needed to capture a successful photograph. Something that makes a photograph successful is having a balance on the light meter, by changing the shutter speed, ISO and aperture.

This week is the first photography project we have since COVID-19 has become prevalent, and we are in isolation. I achieved my goal of Photojournalism. During this project I learned that sometimes the subject of our photos can be difficult. Getting my little sister Jordyn to stay in one place was not the easiest thing to do. In the end, after all the photos come together, and there is a story and it is very beautiful.

This week we were asked to take Macro Photos, which is a very closeup photo of an object. This was rather difficult, because getting the objects to focus on my camera were proven to be hard. I spent a lot of time, positioning the object in a certain way, to get them in focus. I learned that sometimes there must be great patience in the photographer to get a good picture.
